Well organized and a resourceful leader. Dan is extremely passionate about delivering top quality work, innovation, and exceeding all expectations. His knowledge of slope stabilization, drilling, and a career long involvement in the mining industry have afforded him the experience to visualize and understand complex projects which contributes to our team’s overall success. It is not uncommon to see Dan with boots on the ground mentoring or supporting our field crews in any way necessary to safely and efficiently get the job done.

Project Director

A strong commitment to delivering successful projects is what motivates Robert in his role as Project Director. With extensive technical and hands-on experience in the construction industry and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, he leads our team of project managers through all stages of a project. He keeps projects moving forward through clear communication, consistent leadership, and keen attention to detail. Whether it’s a complex build or a fast-paced schedule, Robert brings a calm, focused energy that helps deliver quality results.

General Manager - Western Canada

Keith is an ACI-certified nozzleman with over 20 years of experience in shotcrete and ground stabilization. As General Manager, he brings a deep understanding of field operations to his leadership role, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. Known for his proactive problem-solving, cordial client relations and strong project oversight, Keith plays a key role in maintaining BAT’s high standards for quality and efficiency, while looking for innovative solutions to new challenges.

General Manager - Eastern Canada

With over a decade of dedication to the company, Steven is a highly organized and detail-oriented leader. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Business Administration, he brings both strategic insight and operational discipline to the team. Steven’s calm and methodical approach ensures that projects are managed with precision and clarity from start to finish. His strong leadership and commitment to excellence continue to drive the growth and success of BAT’s operations in Eastern Canada.

With over two decades of experience in accounting and finance, Chamara brings extensive knowledge and leadership to his role as Chief Financial Officer at BAT Construction. Originally from Sri Lanka, he is recognized for his strategic financial planning, strong analytical skills, and ability to lead high-performing teams. Chamara has a proven track record of streamlining financial processes, enhancing cash flow, and ensuring full regulatory compliance. His dedication to operational excellence and continuous improvement plays a key role in supporting the company’s long-term growth and financial stability.

HSE Manager

Blaire has a devotion to workplace Health and Safety as a NCSO safety officer with 15+ years of experience. She has a proven track record with project experience, leadership, expertise and is highly committed to BAT’s HSE program and safety excellence. Blaire possesses a clear understanding of construction safety procedures and protocol relevant to our specialized industry, clients, and keeps BAT on top of the latest regulations and trends.

Tyrone Lama, PMP

Proposal Manager

Tyrone Lama is a Civil Engineer with a Masters in Construction Management and a certified PMP, bringing over 25 years of experience in infrastructure and construction projects. As Proposal Manager at BAT Construction, he leads strategic pursuits, proposal development, and client engagement. Tyrone supports projects across Canada involving shotcrete, slope stabilization, geotechnical construction, and rope access solutions. He combines technical expertise with business development leadership to drive growth and successful project outcomes.

Procurement Manager

With over 25 years in the industrial construction sector and multiple trade certifications, Steve brings extensive experience in logistics, inventory management, and procurement that supports the company’s ongoing commitment to exceeding expectations in all areas.

Ensuring professional partnerships with vendors and subcontractors is a top priority for Steve, as changing geotechnical conditions on our projects continually demand innovative solutions for supplies and services to safely meet client needs.

Mary Roach

Human Resources Manager

Mary is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources professional with over 20 years of HR experience spanning across government, manufacturing/industry, and customer service environments, providing advice and support relating to both union and non-union employees. Her extensive HR experience includes employee relations, training and development, collective agreement interpretation, performance management, occupational health and safety, coaching, recruitment and retention, investigations, recognition and engagement, succession planning, organizational change, and strategic planning. She also volunteers her time mentoring and coaching and has given years of service to non-profit, small business, and her local community association.
