Project Challenges
Due to the hazardous nature of the work site, BAT Construction was expected to exceed Enbridge’s safety requirements during all phases of the project. Protection of live infrastructure and personnel was the top priority on this project.
Enbridge in Savona was challenged with expanding their facility into the ravelling mountainside at their CS7 Compressor site.
BAT Construction was awarded the installation of a high energy rockfall mitigation barrier, the civil site works, access road construction, and large tie-back retaining wall construction. The project entailed many phases including bulk excavations, RMB construction, tie-back anchor installation, cable anchors, Underpinning/Shoring, Shotcrete Wall, Cast in Place concrete wall construction, site civil works, and all associated tasks. We met or exceeded Strike/ Enbridge’s stringent QC and safety protocols while performing the works at this live compressor station.
