Ground Remediation

Anchor Retaining Systems
BAT Construction offers a comprehensive range of anchor retaining systems, including rock anchors, soil anchors, cable anchors, micropiles, and grouted dowels. These systems are designed to address a variety of applications—from stabilizing rock on roadways and mine bench cuts to installing tensioned DCP anchors in granular soils for seismic upgrades, or communication infrastructure. Our experienced crews are equipped to install virtually any type of anchor retaining system.
As part of our commitment to quality assurance, we also provide thorough tensioning and testing services to ensure system performance and reliability.

Scaling/High Angle Rock Scaling
BAT Construction employs IRATA certified rope access technicians specializing in high-angle rope access scaling to ensure the safety and stability of rock cuts along highways, railways, mining benches, and residential or civil excavation sites. Our team utilizes a range of specialized techniques and equipment, including controlled blasting, air bags, and scaling bars.
In addition, BAT Construction maintains a dedicated emergency response team capable of rapid mobilization to access and clear rockslide debris from railways and highways, ensuring minimal disruption and enhanced public safety.

Shotcrete
At BAT Construction, our ACI-certified nozzlemen and specialized equipment enable us to deliver a comprehensive range of dry-mix and wet-mix shotcrete shoring services. All shotcrete applications are subject to rigorous quality control testing and are typically reinforced with either polymer or steel fiber to enhance strength and durability.
The adaptability of shotcrete makes it an ideal solution for a variety of challenging environments, including high rock faces, highway rock cuts, underground settings, and locations where conventional form-and-pour methods are not feasible. Additionally, BAT Construction offers the option to incorporate decorative finishes into shotcrete retaining walls, allowing the surface to aesthetically mimic the natural rock it reinforces-delivering both safety and visual appeal in a single application.

Pressure Grouting
Also referred to as High-Pressure Grout Injection, BAT Construction provides both high- and low-pressure injection services using grout, mortar, or chemical solutions, delivered through existing or newly drilled holes. This technique is commonly used to seal fractures or voids within unstable rock formations.
For soil injection applications, material is introduced through a casing or “pipe sleeve” that is first drilled to the specified depth. Our grouting processes are employed in a wide range of applications, including dam and tunnel work, wall reinforcement, shallow foundation stabilization, and broader geotechnical stabilization efforts.
Additional uses include HDH drain hole sealing, anchor installations, foundation jacking, void filling, and settlement remediation.

Retaining Walls
With extensive experience in the installation of tie-back retaining walls for both rail and road access, as well as numerous mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, shotcrete walls, and block wall systems, BAT Construction offers tailored solutions for a wide range of retaining wall applications.
In addition to new construction, we specialize in the rehabilitation and stabilization of existing walls that are showing signs of movement or structural failure, ensuring long-term performance and safety.

Gabions
Gabions are an effective solution for reducing the velocity of concentrated runoff and stabilizing slopes affected by seepage or non-cohesive soils. They are particularly well-suited for use at soil-water interfaces where soil erosion is likely to occur due to high water turbulence, velocity, or insufficient vegetative cover under design flow conditions.
Gabions offer a practical advantage over traditional riprap, as they can be installed on steeper slopes and are often the most viable option in areas where space constraints prevent the use of more gradual, vegetated stabilization methods.

Shoring/Underpinning
BAT Construction provides reliable and efficient shotcrete shoring services for a wide range of excavation and slope stabilization needs. Our ACI-certified nozzlemen apply both wet and dry shotcrete using specialized equipment to deliver immediate structural support in challenging environments – whether it’s steep slopes, deep excavations, or restricted-access sites. Reinforced with steel or synthetic fibers, our shotcrete solutions are thoroughly tested for quality and durability.
In addition to shoring, we offer expert underpinning services to stabilize and strengthen existing foundations, particularly in areas affected by settlement or structural movement. From infrastructure upgrades to new construction support, our team ensures safety, efficiency, and long-term performance – making BAT Construction a trusted partner in geotechnical and structural stabilization.
